  • Parchment paper
  • Oven-safe pizza stone (optional but recommended)

Ingredients

  • For the Dough:
  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • ½ tsp xanthan gum if not included in flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • For the Sauce:
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Toppings:
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite toppings e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives

Instructions

  • Preheat Your Oven : To 450°F (230°C), place a pizza stone inside if using.
  • Mix the Dough : Combine flour, xanthan gum, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Add olive oil and warm water, then mix until sticky.
  • Let the Dough Rest : Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Shape the Dough : Roll out on a floured surface or press gently with hands using parchment paper.
  • Assemble the Pizza : Transfer dough to a pizza peel or tray, add sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  • Bake to Perfection : Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Cool and Slice : Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease transfer into the oven.
  • Avoid overloading with wet toppings to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Letting the dough rest is crucial for better texture.
  • You can substitute dairy cheese with vegan cheese for a dairy-free version.
  • Xanthan gum helps bind the dough; do not skip unless your flour blend already contains it.
  • For a quick version, use gluten-free baking powder dough instead of yeast-based dough.
